European Neighbourhood Policy aims at bringing the EU and its neighbours closer. The Union support focuses on promoting enhanced political cooperation, deep and sustainable democracy, progressive economic integration and a strengthened partnership with societies between the Union and the partner countries. The ENI aims to strengthen relations with neighbourhood countries and brings tangible benefits to both the EU and its partners. It continues cooperation, which so far has been developed within the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument.
Cross-border programmes under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) enable cooperation across joint borders between the EU Member States and non-EU countries.
In the 2014-2020 period Poland takes part in the two programmes along the EU external borders:
- Poland-Belarus-Ukraine (PL-BY-UA), for more information consult the Programme website,
- Poland-Russia (PL-RU), for more information consult the Programme website.
